Master Planning and Urban Release Areas
MBWA Consulting has worked on a number of key land release areas including:
- ADI Site, St Marys;
- Marsden Park Industrial Precinct:
- The Ponds; and
- Newbury.
Working with Council and the developer as a project manager for the development, these long term projects have included all aspects of the release area process from co-ordination of technical reports, LEP and DCP preparation and facilitation of Council approvals.
Policy Formulation and Advice
Suburb Name Change: The preparation of reports to local Councils and the Geographical Names Board to request a change in a locality/suburb name. New locality names include Bungarribee; The Ponds and Caddens.
Post Project Reviews and Advice: MBWA Consulting undertakes research and provides advice on a wide range of planning issues. Projects include a post project review of a fully developed release area in Western Sydney (Newbury) and an audit of Design Guidelines for a number of master planned estates in NSW.
LEP and DCP Formulation: A strong background in LEP and DCP formulation has resulted in a number of commissions to assist Councils in the formulation of new or amending LEPs. An independent review of Pittwater 21 and a project involving Blacktown Council's new Standard Instrument are just two examples.
Corporate Planning
The Blacktown Delivery Program and Operational Plan were prepared having regard to the directions issued by the Department of Local Government. This project is a follow up to work undertaken on the Blacktown City Vision 2025. The City Vision provides a strategic plan to guide Blacktown from 2008 - 2025. Local Planning and Advice
MBWA Consulting prepares Statement of Environmental Effects and supporting documentation for a wide range of development related issues. Support is also offered to neighbours wishing to make a formal submission on a nearby development affecting their property.
